Mark Grace on jail time for DUI: 'I deserve to be here'
RALEIGH, N.C., March 30 (UPI) -- Andrew Ladd needed just 16 seconds to produce an overtime goal Friday that gave the Winnipeg Jets a 4-3 victory over Carolina.
The Jets overcame a two-goal deficit to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.
Zach Bogosian sent the puck from the right point to the front of the net, from where Ladd pushed it past Cam Ward for the game-winner.
Carolina owned a 3-1 lead midway through the second period but Jim Slater tipped in a shot to bring the Jets within one and Kyle Wellwood scored on the power play with 4:47 left in regulation.
Chris Mason got the win by making 30 saves. Winnipeg had lost three in a row. Ward allowed all four goals on 35 shots.
