Walgreens offers parking to Marlins fans

MIAMI, March 29 (UPI) -- A Miami Walgreens is attempting to ease parking woes of fans attending games at the new Marlins Stadium by offering additional parking.

A Walgreens spokesman said corporate officials signed off on a plan to rent out about 20 spaces for Marlins fans at $32.49 per car beginning with Sunday's exhibition against the New York Yankees, The Miami Herald reported Thursday.

The spokesman said contractor 717 Parking Enterprises, which is handling the parking spots for the store, will ensure more than half the lot remains open for Walgreens customers.
