ST. PAUL, Minn., March 27 (UPI) -- Ruslan Fedotenko scored on a feed from Ryan McDonagh with 6:23 left in the game Tuesday, boosting the New York Rangers to a 3-2 win over Minnesota.

Fedotenko was wide open at right side of the net when McDonagh found him with a pass, and the Rangers' left wing one-timed it home to break a 2-2 tie.

Marian Gaborik, who played nine years for the Wild, scored his first goal against them and Brian Boyle added a goal for New York, which improved to 103 points -- three better than Pittsburgh for first place in both the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference.

Henrik Lundqvist earned the victory with 24 saves.

Mikko Koivu and Kyle Brodziak scored while Josh Harding made 29 saves for Minnesota.
