MLS: New York 4, Colorado 1

HARRISON, N.J., March 25 (UPI) -- Thierry Henry and Kenny Cooper each scored two goals Sunday in the New York Red Bulls' 4-1 victory over Colorado.

Henry gave the Red Bulls (1-2-0) a quick lead 3 minutes into their home opener off a bad back pass from Rapids midfielder Ross LaBauex, and only 3 minutes later he assisted on Cooper's first tally.

Henry added another score early in the second half with a curling right-footer to the back post and Cooper made it 4-1 in the 89th minute on a touch from 2 yards out.

Omar Cummings scored for the Rapids (2-1-0), who sustained their initial loss of the season.
