SANDY, Utah, March 25 (UPI) -- Casey Townsend scored in the 72nd minute Saturday, handing previously winless Chivas USA a 1-0 decision over Real Salt Lake.
Townsend's game-winner came when Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando couldn't hang onto a cross from midfielder Nick LaBrocca and the rookie striker was there to kick in the loose ball.

The victory was the first of year for the Goats (1-2-0) and handed new Coach Robin Fraser his initial triumph.
RSL (2-1-0) stepped up its attack in the final minutes but couldn't dent Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy, who dove to knock away a Fabian Espindola drive in the 93rd minute.
