DETROIT, March 24 (UPI) -- Jiri Hudler and Drew Miller each notched third-period goals Saturday, helping rally the Detroit Red Wings past Carolina 5-4.

The Red Wings snapped a six-game losing streak -- their longest since 1991 -- with a big contribution from Henrik Zetterberg, who scored twice in the triumph.

They also collected a goal from Todd Bertuzzi en route to erasing a 4-1 deficit.

Ty Conklin made 20 saves for Detroit, which remained one point ahead of Nashville for the fourth playoff seed in the Western Conference.

Carolina got two scores from Jiri Tlusty but it wasn't enough to prevent its second straight loss.

Chad LaRose and Jamie McBain also scored. Cam Ward made 45 saves for the Hurricanes.
