
ORLANDO, Fla., March 23 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods carded a 7-under 65 Friday to take a share of the lead with Charlie Wi, who shot a 4-under 68 in the second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Woods and Wi finished the day at 10-under 134, Wi finishing strong with two birdies in his last three holes.
Woods -- a six-time champion at this tournament -- has a 36-hole lead on the PGA Tour for the first time since 2009. Wi, who finished second this year at Pebble Beach, is still looking for his first PGA Tour win.
Graeme McDowell ended the day in a tie for third with first-round leader Jason Dufner at 9-under 135. McDowell, the 2010 U.S. Open champion, shot a 9-under 63 Friday while Dufner shot a 3-under 69.
Justin Rose (69) is fifth at 6-under 138. Bubba Watson (70), Sergio Garcia (67), Vijay Singh (68), Chris Stroud (69), Webb Simpson (66) and Zach Johnson (68) are tied for sixth at 5-under 139.
