NBA: Milwaukee 112, Charlotte 92

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 23 (UPI) -- Luc Mbah a Moute led a balanced effort with 20 points Friday, launching the Milwaukee Bucks to a 112-92 whipping of Charlotte.

The Bucks outscored the Bobcats in every quarter and moved within a half game of New York for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

It was the second contest for Milwaukee in a stretch that will see the Bucks play five times in six days.

Drew Gooden added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Bucks, who got 15 apiece from Ersan Ilyasova and Mike Dunleavy.

Gerald Henderson led Charlotte with 29 points.

The Bobcats lost for the fourth time in five games and have managed only seven victories all season.

Milwaukee rallied to take a 21-20 first-quarter lead after trailing by as many as eight at the midway point of the period.
