Reports: Notre Dame QB Golson leaves school

DALLAS, March 22 (UPI) -- Cory Schneider allowed only a third-period goal and made 25 saves Thursday, boosting the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 victory over Dallas.
After winning six in a row and 11 out of 12, the Stars have lost three of four to put their lead in the Pacific Division in jeopardy. Dallas began the evening with a one-point advantage over Phoenix in the race for the division title.
Mason Raymond gave Vancouver the lead 4:46 into the contest and the eventual game-winner came from Kevin Bieksa 4:18 into the third.
Vernon Fiddler spoiled Schneider's shutout bid with 12:16 to play, but the backup Vancouver goaltender was perfect the rest of the way.
Kari Lehtonen stopped 26 shots for Dallas.
