NASHVILLE, March 20 (UPI) -- Ales Hemsky put in three goals for his first career hat trick Tuesday and the Edmonton Oilers dispatched playoff-bound Nashville with a 6-3 victory.

Sam Gagner, Ryan Jones and Darcy Hordichuk also scored as the Oilers collected their third win in four games.

Devan Dubnyk notched the victory with 41 saves.

Nashville got two goals from David Legwand. Patric Hornqvist contributed a goal and an assist in the Predators' return home following a 2-1 road trip.

Nashville was seeking to bypass idle Detroit for the fourth seed in the Western Conference, but instead remained tied with the Red Wings in the race for home-ice advantage in the post-season.

Pekka Rinne started in net for the Predators but was pulled after yielding three goals on just seven shots.

Anders Lindback took over, turning aside 10-of-12 shots the rest of the way.
