NBA: Cleveland 105, New Jersey 100

NEWARK, N.J., March 19 (UPI) -- Cleveland rookies Tristan Thompson and Kyrie Irving combined for 53 points Monday and the Cavaliers bested New Jersey 105-100.

Thompson put in 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Irving added 26 points and dished off seven assists for the Cavs, who secured the victory with a late 8-3 run.

Antawn Jamison helped Cleveland break a three-game losing streak with 13 points and 13 boards.

Newly acquired Gerald Wallace had 27 points and 12 rebounds, Deron Williams scored 28 and Kris Humphries finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets, who have lost five of their last six.
