MLS: Seattle 3, Toronto 1

SEATTLE, March 18 (UPI) -- David Estrada produced a hat trick Saturday, powering Seattle Sounders FC to a 3-1 win over Toronto FC in the season opener for both teams.

Estrada scored in the 17th, 51st and 63rd minutes for the Sounders (1-0-0).

His second goal was the eventual game-winner. It was set up when Marc Burch threaded a through-ball to Estrada, allowing him to slot a low shot past Toronto goalkeeper Milos Kocic.

Ryan Johnson got the only goal for Toronto (0-1-0).
