NHL: Pittsburgh 5, New Jersey 2

NEWARK, N.J., March 17 (UPI) -- Matt Cooke scored twice Saturday and the Pittsburgh Penguins stretched their NHL-best winning streak to 11 games with a 5-2 spanking of New Jersey.

Evgeni Malkin contributed a goal and an assist while Pascal Dupuis and James Neal also found the net for the surging Penguins, who extended the longest win streak of the NHL season.

Sidney Crosby registered three assists for Pittsburgh, which won for only the second time in 10 visits to New Jersey.

Marc-Andre Fleury needed to make only 12 saves to record the victory.

Andy Greene had a goal and a helper for the Devils, who lost for only the second time in seven games.

Petr Sykora also scored and Martin Brodeur made 39 saves in the loss.
