ORLANDO, Fla., March 16 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard, secure in the knowledge he will be with Orlando for a while, scored 18 points Friday and paced the Magic to an 86-70 win over New Jersey.

Howard has announced he will not opt out of his contract this summer and the team responded with a solid performance that included six players reaching double figures in scoring.

Orlando took a 12-point lead into the fourth period and limited the Nets to 10 points in that period.

Jameer Nelson and Glen Davis both had 13 points for the Magic while Ryan Anderson added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Orlando has defeated the Nets 10 straight times.

Gerald Green came off the bench to lead New Jersey with 14 points.
