NBA: Atlanta 102, Washington 88

ATLANTA, March 16 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson made six of his eight attempts from 3-point range and scored 34 points Friday in leading the Atlanta Hawks to a 102-88 decision over Washington.

The Hawks snapped a two-game skid, getting 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds from Josh Smith. Zaza Pachulia added a career-best seven assists.

Atlanta did not take the lead for good until late in the third period, during which Washington scored only 10 points.

The Wizards played without newly acquired center Nene, who was obtained from Denver Thursday. Trevor Booker had 18 points and nine rebounds for Washington while John Wall contributed 14 points.

Washington has two games left on its six-game road trip, on which it is 1-3.
