Tseng shares lead on LPGA Tour

PHOENIX, March 15 (UPI) -- Yani Tseng needed just 29 shots to play the back nine Thursday and her 7-under 65 gave her a share of the lead after one round of the LPGA Founders Cup.

Tseng, ranked No. 1 in the world, was tied with Hee Young Park at the top of the first LPGA Tour event this year to be played in the United States.

Jiyai Shin fired a 66 at the Wildfire Golf Club to finish alone in third.

World No. 2 Na Yeon Choi, Hee Kyung Seo, Karen Stupples and Pernilla Lindberg were tied for fourth at 5-under 67 while Karrie Webb and Christie Kerr highlighted the group at 68.
