Nuggets trade Nene to Washington

DENVER, March 15 (UPI) -- The Denver Nuggets traded Nene to Washington Thursday as part of a three-team deal that also included the Los Angeles Clippers.

Washington sent big men JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf to the Nuggets while the Clippers picked up guard Nick Young from Washington in exchange for forward Brian Cook and a second-round draft pick.

Nene is the feature of the deal, although he has played just 28 games for the Nuggets this season because of injuries. He is averaging 13.4 points and 7.4 rebounds a game.
