WINNIPEG, Manitoba, March 15 (UPI) -- Andrew Ladd scored two of Winnipeg's four second-period goals Wednesday, sending the Jets to a 5-2 victory over Dallas.
Winnipeg handed the Stars their first regulation loss since Feb. 19. The Stars had gone 10-0-1 since then, a streak that boosted them into first place in the Western Conference.
The streak was placed in jeopardy by the NHL schedule, which forced the Stars to play on back-to-back nights in Minnesota and Manitoba.
Ladd scored Winnipeg's fourth and fifth goals of the game. Nik Antropov, Evander Kane and Eric Fehr also scored for the Jets, who had lost their previous two games.
Ondrej Pavelec made 28 saves to get the win. Backup Dallas goaltender Richard Bachman gave up the five goals on 28 shots.
