INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 13 (UPI) --
Top-ranked Victoria Azarenka breezed into the quarterfinals at the BNP Paribas Open Tuesday with a 6-3, 6-1 pasting of No. 14 German Julia Goerges.
The world No. 1 had little trouble dispatching Goerges while remaining undefeated on the season. The Australian Open champion improved to 20-0 as she seeks her fourth title of the year.
The 22-year-old Azarenka now goes on to face another Day 7 winner, Agnieszka Radwanska.
The Pole stayed hot by getting past American wild card Jamie Hampton 6-3, 4-6, 3-0 Tuesday, as Hampton retired.
