NBA: Charlotte 73, New Orleans 71

NEW ORLEANS, March 12 (UPI) -- Bismack Biyombo preserved Charlotte's victory with a block of a Trevor Ariza dunk Monday, ensuring the Bobcats' 73-71 decision over New Orleans.

Biyombo rejected Ariza's dunk attempt with 5.2 seconds remaining, handing a victory to Charlotte in a battle between the teams with the worst records in the NBA's two conferences.

Biyombo finished with 12 points and four dunks while Gerald Henderson scored 15 points and Kemba Walker had 14 off the bench for the 6-34 Bobcats.

New Orleans (10-32) was led by Jarrett Jack with 15 points while Chris Kaman contributed 12 and 16 rebounds for the Hornets.
