NHL: New Jersey 4, Philadelphia 1

NEWARK, N.J., March 11 (UPI) -- Ilya Kovalchuk scored a goal and had two assists Sunday as the New Jersey Devils defeated Philadelphia 4-1 for their fourth straight win.

Zach Parise and Patrik Elias each scored a power-play goal and had an assist and Anton Volchenkov scored one goal for New Jersey.

The Flyers, who had a five-game winning streak snapped, got a goal from Claude Giroux, who matched his career high for goals in a season with 25.

New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur notched his 650th career win, stopping 18 shots.

Sergei Bobrovsky returned as Flyers' goalie for his first game since Feb. 18, after Ilya Bryzgalov had started the previous 11 games. Bobrovsky gave up the four goals on 31 shots.
