NHL: N.Y. Rangers 4, N.Y. Islanders 3 (OT)

NEW YORK, March 11 (UPI) -- Marian Gaborik scored on the power play with 6 seconds left in overtime Sunday to give the New York Rangers a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders.

With Islanders' defenseman Travis Hamonic in the penalty box for tripping, Brad Richards passed from down low to the right of the goal and out to the high slot, where Gaborik scored with a wrist shot under the crossbar and over the right shoulder of Islanders goalie Evgeni Nabokov.

Richards scored two goals, while Brian Boyle scored the other Rangers goal and Gaborik added an assist.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 16 saves.

John Tavares had a goal and an assist for the Islanders, who also got goals from Matt Moulson and Andrew MacDonald.

Hamonic had two assists and Nabokov made 32 saves in the Islanders' third straight loss.
