PHILADELPHIA, March 8 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov claimed his fourth shutout of the season Thursday with 28 saves in carrying the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-0 drubbing of Florida.

The Flyers won their fourth straight and have captured six out of eight to help solidify a playoff position in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia has the fifth best point total in the conference with 83.

Bryzgalov, in his first year with the Flyers after spending four seasons with Anaheim and four with Phoenix, has 27 shutouts in his career.

Brayden Schenn opened the scoring with a power-play goal midway through the first period. Matt Read and Scott Hartnell then tallied in the second and Jaromir Jagr and Eric Wellwood scored in the third.

Hartnell's goal was his 32nd of the season.

All five goals came against Jose Theodore on 35 shots. It was Florida's third loss in four games, a slump that caused its lead over Winnipeg in the Southeast Division to slip to two points heading into Thursday's action.
