
DALLAS, March 8 (UPI) -- Tomas Vincour scored the tying goal and then added the game-winner in the shootout Tuesday to give the surging Dallas Stars a 4-3 victory over San Jose.
Vincour tallied his fourth goal of the season at 18:45 of the third period to tie the contest and then connected on a backhander in the fifth round of the shootout to secure the Stars' fourth straight win.
Kari Lehtonen made 45 saves and did not allow a goal in the shootout. Michael Ryder scored for Dallas in regulation and Jamie Benn added a goal and an assist.
Joe Thornton had three assists for the Sharks, who lost their fourth in a row. Joe Pavelski, Patrick Marleau and Torrey Mitchell scored goals -- Mitchell's coming with 2 seconds to play in the second period.
Antti Niemi made 32 saves and allowed only Vincour to score in the shootout.
