BOSTON, March 8 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas blanked Buffalo over the final two periods Thursday, allowing the Boston Bruins to rally for a 3-1 victory over the Sabres.

Boston, which defeated Toronto Tuesday, has won back-to-back games for the first time in almost two months. Despite their struggles, the Bruins are still out front of the Northeast Division.

Jason Pominville scored the only goal off Thomas late in the first period, but the Bruins tied it in the second on Gregory Campbell's tip-in.

Johnny Boychuk and David Krejci then scored in a span of 2:58 of the third period to seal the victory. Boychuk's goal came on a long-range slap shot from the right side.

Thomas made 19 saves, 14 of them coming over the second and third periods. Jhonas Enroth allowed three goals on 28 shots.
