NBA: Dallas 102, Utah 96

DALLAS, March 3 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki poured in 40 points on 14-of-21 shooting Saturday and the Dallas Mavericks ended a four-game skid with a 102-96 win over Utah.

Jason Terry, who added 22 points, blunted a late Utah comeback on a layup off a Jazz turnover with less than 2 minutes remaining.

Lamar Odom was recalled from the NBA Development League before the game and supplied nine points over 18 minutes of court time for Dallas.

The Mavs bested the Jazz for the seventh straight meeting despite 24 points from Utah's Paul Millsap.

Al Jefferson added 11 and 10 rebounds for the Jazz.
