NBA: Phoenix 104, Minnesota 95

PHOENIX, March 1 (UPI) -- A season-best 20 points from Grant Hill Thursday helped carry the Phoenix Suns to a 104-95 victory over Minnesota.

Playing for the first time in eight days, the Suns won for the third time in four games. They shot 53 percent from the field and hit almost 61 percent of their shots in the third period while they were rallying from a five-point halftime deficit.

Hill made 8-of-12 of his shots and Marcin Gortat added 17 points. Steve Nash had 13 points and 17 assists.

Minnesota, playing its third game in as many nights, got 23 points and 10 rebounds from Kevin Love.

The Timberwolves trail Denver by 1 1/2 games in the battle for the final playoff position in the Western Conference.
