NHL: Colorado 4, Anaheim 1

DENVER, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Ryan O'Reilly scored the go-ahead goal in the third period Monday and the Colorado Avalanche continued their playoff push with a 4-1 win over Anaheim.

With the score tied 1-1, O'Reilly scored on the rebound of a Gabriel Landeskog shot 37 seconds into the final frame and the Avalanche went on to log their fourth straight win.

Matt Duchene, Jay McClement and Cody McLeod also tallied for Colorado, which tied Dallas for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 70 points.

Semyon Varlamov made 27 saves to earn the victory.

The Ducks remained six points out of a playoff berth in the West with only their third loss in nine contests.

Bobby Ryan scored and Jonas Hiller yielded four goals on 23 shots for Anaheim.
