NBA: New Jersey 93, Dallas 92

DALLAS, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Brook Lopez scored 38 points Tuesday, including the game-winning free throw in the New Jersey Nets' 93-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Lopez, playing in his third game since recovering from a broken foot, tied the score and then sank the decisive free throw after drawing a foul in the final minute of play.

Anthony Morrow scored 15 points, and Deron Williams added a dozen points and a dozen rebounds for the Nets, who had lost 12 of their previous 15 games before sending the NBA champions to their third loss in four starts,

Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Brendan Haywood also had 10 boards to go along with 18 points.

Jason Kidd scored only three points but his trey with 48 seconds to play gave the Mavericks a 92-91 lead that held up until Lopez was fouled and converted the winning shot from the line.
