CALGARY, Alberta, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Matt Read scored in the fifth round of a shootout Saturday, polishing off a 5-4 Philadelphia Flyers comeback over Calgary.

The Flyers trailed 3-0 late in the second period but got consecutive tallies from Jakub Voracek, Braydon Coburn and Scott Hartnell to tie it up.

Alex Tanguay scored on a penalty shot midway through the final period to give Calgary another lead, but the Flames couldn't hold it as the Flyers' Nicklas Grossman knotted the score again less than 2 minutes later.

After a scoreless overtime, the contest moved to a shootout where Read faked Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff to the ice and beat him high to the glove side for the game-winner.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 17 stops and three more in the tiebreaker for Philadelphia, which won for the fourth time in 11 games,

Kiprusoff turned aside 41-of-45 shots while Mark Giordano, Matt Stajan and Tom Kostopoulos found the net for Calgary.
