NHL: Edmonton 2, Philadelphia 0

EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves Thursday and recorded his first shutout of the season in carrying the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-0 victory over Philadelphia.

Dubnyk, in his third NHL season, has three shutouts in his career. He helped bring the Oilers their second straight win, something they have done only one other time in the last three months.

Edmonton's goals came in a span of 4:38 in the second period from Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle. Hall's score came on the power play.

The Flyers missed a chance to jump past New Jersey into second place in the Atlantic Division. Ilya Bryzgalov took the loss while stopping 27 shots.
