SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Colorado Rockies Manager Jim Tracy will remain with the team after his contract expires at the end of this season, General Manager Dan O'Dowd said Monday.
Tracy, who won National League Manager of the Year honors for the Rockies in 2009, is under contract through 2012.
O'Dowd said Monday he expected the team's relationship with the skipper to "continue for a number of years."
Tracy has compiled 230-210 with the Rockies. He landed a contract extension after taking over from Clint Hurdle early in 2009 and leading Colorado into the post-season with a 74-42 record.
The Rockies lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series.
Tracy has previously managed the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
