Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
MARWALE, Ariz., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers signed four pitchers and a catcher to one-year contracts Monday as spring training got under way.
The five are Marco Estrada, who went 4-8 with a 4.08 earned run average in 43 games for the Brewers last season; Mike McClendon, who was 3-0 with a 2.63 ERA; Tim Dillard, who went 1-1 with a 4.08 ERA; minor league pitching prospect Mark Rogers; and minor league catcher Martin Maldonado.
The Brewers are the defending National League Central Division champions.
