DOHA, Qatar, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka made it to the finals of the Qatar Open Saturday with a straight-sets win over Agnieszka Radwanska.

The top-seeded Azarenka dispatched her Polish opponent 6-2, 6-4 and advanced to a meeting in Sunday's title match with third-seeded Australian Samantha Stosur.

Stosur advanced Saturday when her semifinal opponent, Marion Bartoli, retired with a calf injury in the second set.

Azarenka, from Belarus, has never lost to Stosur, who has just one win in four matches this year and lost in the Australian Open in the first round.

As for Bartoli, she failed to reach her second consecutive final after apparently aggravating an injury she suffered in Friday's quarterfinal. Her future status was not immediately known.
