NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Jeremy Lin, who ignited a nationwide craze with his recent play for the New York Knicks, has been added to the NBA's Rising Stars game, the league said Friday.

The game will be part of NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando, Fla.

Lin has become a star over the past two weeks, helping the Knicks to seven consecutive wins. He was inserted into the starting lineup and is now the team's third-leading scorer at 12.7 points per game. He's also averaging a team-best 5.1 assists a game.

The Rising Stars game will feature NBA rookies and second-year players on teams chosen by coaches Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley.
