LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Blake Griffin scored 23 points and Caron Butler made five 3-pointers Wednesday in bringing the Los Angeles Clippers a 102-84 win over Washington.
The Clippers returned from a road trip on which they went 4-2 and will play eight of their next 11 on the road as well.
Griffin made 10-of-19 shots from the field and added 15 rebounds. Butler scored 21 points and Chris Paul had 16. Los Angeles hit 11-of-21 from beyond the arc.
The game was tied with 3:30 to go in the third period but the Clippers scored the final six points of the quarter and then dominated the fourth.
Washington had been trying for its first three-game winning streak of the season. The Wizards are 2-1 on a five-game western trip.
JaVale McGee and John Wall both had 18 points for the Wizards.
