Ryan Ellis scored from the point with 5:42 remaining Tuesday, and the Nashville Predators beat Chicago 3-2 to hand the Blackhawks their ninth straight loss.
Ellis teed up a shot from the right point that eluded Chicago netminder Ray Emery, breaking a 2-2 tie in the third period and enabling the Predators to snap a three-game losing streak.
He also had an assist, while Ryan Suter and Nick Spaling scored for Nashville.
Pekka Rinne earned the victory with 30 saves.
Marian Hossa and Bryan Bickell scored and Emery allowed three goals on just 19 shots for Chicago.
