NBA: New Orleans 86, Utah 80

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Chris Kaman provided finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds Monday, helping the New Orleans Hornets break an eight-game skid with an 86-80 win over Utah.

The Jazz trailed by as many as 13 in the final period but mounted a late surge. Derrick Favors' 3-foot jumper with 1:04 left cut Utah's deficit to 83-80. Kaman drew a foul on Gordon Hayward and sank one-of-two foul shots with 20 seconds left to secure the win -- New Orleans' first since a Jan. 27 triumph over Orlando.

Gustavo Ayon chipped in with 13 points, nine rebounds and three blocks while Greivis Vasquez had 12 points and 10 assists for New Orleans.

Al Jefferson put in 14 points to go with 12 rebounds and Favors also finished with 14 points for the Jazz.
