PEBBLE BEACH, Calif., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Charlie Wi maintained a three-stroke lead and Tiger Woods stayed in the hunt Saturday after three rounds of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Wi didn't post a bogey while firing a 3-under-par 69 at Spyglass Hill, finishing 54 holes at 15-under 199 and putting himself in prime position to claim his initial PGA Tour victory.
Grabbing sole possession of second place at minus-12 was Ken Duke, who carded a 5-under 65 at Monterey Peninsula.
Then came Woods, who is making his 2012 PGA debut at Pebble Beach. The former world No. 1 registered a 5-under 67, claiming third place at 11-under 203.
Sharing fourth two shots further back were three-time champion Phil Mickelson, two-time winner Dustin Johnson, Kevin Na and Hunter Mahan (all 70s).
