Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Jeremy Lin's free throw with 4 seconds left provided the go-ahead point Saturday and boosted the New York Knicks past Minnesota 100-98.
Lin finished with 20 points and eight assists, providing the spark as the Knicks started the fourth quarter with a five-point deficit but took advantage of a pair of Ricky Rubio turnovers in the final minute to secure the victory.
Iman Shumpert contributed 20 points and Landry Fields put in 19 as the Knicks posted their fifth straight win.
Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic each logged double-doubles for Minnesota -- Love finished with 32 points and 21 rebounds, while Pekovic added 21 and 13.
The T-wolves dropped their third straight.
