OVIDEO, Spain, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez won their Davis Cup doubles match against Kazakhstan Saturday to move Spain into the quarterfinals.

The two Spaniards thumped Evgeny Korolev and Yuriy Schukin in less than 2 hours 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 to complete Spain's 3-0 sweep of the series and set the stage for an April quarterfinals meeting with either Austria or Russia.

Spain, the defending Davis Cup champs, advanced without big names Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer. Nadal is sitting this year out but Ferrer could join the squad for the quarters.

Spain took a commanding 2-0 lead on Friday with singles victories by Juan Carlos Ferrero and Nicola Almagro.
