NBA: Boston 98, Memphis 80

BOSTON, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett netted 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds Sunday in the Boston Celtics' 98-80 victory over Memphis.

The Celtics used Garnett's performance to improve to 3-0 on their current five-game homestand and take their fourth straight overall.

Paul Pierce chipped in with 21 points while Chris Wilcox and Ray Allen each added 12 for the victors.

Memphis got 21 points and seven rebounds from Rudy Gay but settled for finishing a three-game road trip with a 1-2 mark.
