NHL: Tampa Bay 6, Florida 3

TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Martin St. Louis recorded a hat trick and Vincent Lecavalier added a goal and three assists Saturday in Tampa Bay's 6-3 win over Florida.

The hat trick was the fifth for St. Louis in his career and came in his 900th game.

Steven Stamkos added a goal and Mathieu Garon made 17 saves for the Lightning, who improved to 6-0-1 over their last seven games and continued their dominance over Florida.

The Bolts improved to 4-1-1 while playing their Southeast Division-leading rivals this season, amassing their best-ever season's record against the Panthers.

Sean Bergenheim notched a goal and an assist, while Scott Clemmensen turned aside 27-of-32 shots for Florida.
