SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Spencer Levin fired a 3-under-par 68 Saturday, extending his lead to a commanding six shots after three rounds of the Phoenix Open.

Levin moved to 17-under-par 196 with the one-bogey performance, which followed rounds of 65 and 63 at TPC Scottsdale. The 27-year-old finished the day firmly on track for his first PGA Tour victory after entering the round with a three-shot advantage.

Webb Simpson finished a distant second at 11-under after pulling to within three strokes of the lead at one point Saturday.

After missing a key birdie putt at 16, Simpson bogeyed No. 17 and finished with a 68.

Tied for third one shot further back were Bubba Watson (67) and John Huh (69).
