NBA: Denver 112, Los Angeles Clippers 91

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Danilo Gallinari led a 53-percent Denver shooting effort Thursday and the Nuggets pulled away late to crush the Los Angeles Clippers 112-91.

Los Angeles suffered only its third home loss in 13 games this season and will now embark on a cross-country, six-game road trip.

The Clippers raced to a 13-point lead after one period but were outscored 93-59 for the remainder of the game. Denver snapped a two-game skid.

Gallinari made 7-of-10 shots from the field and scored 21 points. Ty Lawson added 18 for the Nuggets and Arron Afflalo had 15.

Denver made 22-of-25 from the foul line and 12-of-21 from 3-point range.

Blake Griffin scored 18 to lead the Clippers, who had won four in a row.
