TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Kyle Wellwood scored with 1:46 to go in overtime Thursday, giving Winnipeg a 2-1 victory over Tampa Bay and ending the Lightning's five-game winning streak.

Wellwood sent the puck over goaltender Mathieu Garon after taking a pass from Blake Wheeler. The Jets have won back-to-back games for the first time in 2012, both victories coming in overtime.

Wheeler scored in the final minute of the second period and Victor Hedman tied it for Tampa Bay midway through the third.

Ondrej Pavelec made 30 saves to get the victory. Garon stopped 22-of-24 shots.

Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos, who leads the NHL in scoring and was held without a point only three times in 12 games during January, assisted on Hedman's goal.
