SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Tony Parker was the dominant force in a fourth-quarter outburst Thursday that boosted the San Antonio Spurs to a 93-81 victory over New Orleans.
The Spurs have won 12 of their 13 home games this season and picked up their third consecutive victory overall.
The game was deadlocked before Gary Neal hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds of the third period to put San Antonio in front for good. The Spurs then scored the first six points of the fourth quarter, four of them coming from Parker.
Parker produced eight of his 18 points and four of his seven assists in the final 12 minutes. Tim Duncan scored 19 points for the Spurs and Tiago Splitter had 16.
New Orleans, which lost its fourth in a row, got 17 points from Carl Landry. The Hornets have dropped 13 out of 14.
