NBA: Dallas 122, Phoenix 99

PHOENIX, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Delonte West and Vince Carter each sank five 3-pointers Monday and the Dallas Mavericks used deadly outside shooting to pound Phoenix 122-99.

West accounted for 25 points and Carter finished with 21 for the Mavericks, who canned a season-high 14 treys.

Shawn Marion contributed 20 points as Dallas posted its eighth straight win over Phoenix.

The Suns were hobbled by the absence of star point guard Steve Nash, who missed the game with a left thigh contusion.

Marcin Gortat finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Jared Dudley scored 15 for the Suns, who lost for the fourth time in five games.
