NBA: Minnesota 120, Houston 108

HOUSTON, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Michael Beasley went 10-of-14 from the field en route to 34 points Monday and Minnesota recorded a rare win over Houston, downing the Rockets 120-108.

Kevin Love added 29 points and rookie Ricky Rubio registered his ninth double-double of the season with 18 and 11 assists while adding eight rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Minnesota scored a franchise-record 42 points in the third quarter to secure only its second win in 17 meetings with Houston.

Kevin Martin led the Rockets with 29 points.
