NBA: Cleveland 88, Boston 87

BOSTON, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Kyrie Irving capped a Cleveland comeback Sunday, scoring with 2.6 seconds left to hand the Cavaliers an 88-87 win over Boston.

The Cavs erased an 87-76 deficit over the final 4 1/2 minutes, scoring the game's final 12 points.

Irving's game-winner gave him 23 points with six assists, and Anderson Varejao chipped in 18 points and nine rebounds for Cleveland, which notched its second win in three games.

Ray Allen returned from a three-game absence with an ankle injury to lead the Celtics with 22 points.

Paul Pierce added 18 points, six rebounds and five assists for Boston.
